Head Chef – contemporary restaurant - £45,000 + tips –

This contemporary restaurant is independently run and managed by experienced, hospitality professionals. Having re-opened following a major refurbishment and with plans for expansion, they now require a talented Head Chef to join the team.

The emphasis here is on seasonal cooking using excellent British produce. Where possible they use only well sourced local ingredients, alongside their own foraging in the surrounding countryside. So, the ideal Head Chef will feel as passionately as they do about the provenance of their ingredients.

There is a new state of the art kitchen, well equipped with the latest technology to ensure the smoothest of services. The team is already in place, and they are now looking towards the expansion and require a Head Chef to take over the running of the restaurant kitchen.

The Head Chef will be responsible for designing menus, costing, stock control, ordering, training, mentoring, and developing the junior chefs and maintaining all health, hygiene, and safety procedures.

This would be a great opportunity for a talented Head Chef looking to develop their career or a Senior Sous Chef who is ready for their next step up. The successful Head Chef will have a stable career history and have some experience within AA Rosette or Michelin star kitchens.

They work a mixture of straight and split shifts and have Sunday evening, Monday, Tuesday, and a half day in the week off.
